ListingsWire: Lorcan in West Hollywood, Wolf's Lair for Rent, Elleven Short Sale, Echo Park Craftsman

Each week ListingsWire mentions notable movements on the MLS: New listings, price chops, flips, and more. Spy movement? Email us.

WEST HOLLYWOOD: A two-bedroom condo in a Lorcan O'Herlihy building at 1050 N Gardner just hit the market for $799,000. Here is the tour. And via the listing: "Featured in Dwell magazine. Stunning modern architecture with all the amenities. 2 bed, 2 bath. Magnificent energy and style, high-ceilings, premium finishes and unique designer details throughout." [Redfin]

HOLLYWOOD: While Wolf's Lair, Milton Wolf's (1920's art director and Hollywoodland developer) castle near the Hollywood Reservoir remains listed at $5.999 million, the home is also being advertised for rent--$20,000 a month--on Craigslist. One might guess that people who spend $20,000 a month on rent likely don't use Craiglist much, but maybe the assistants do. [Craiglist]

DOWNTOWN: Last week a short-sale unit briefly dragged Elleven down to the $300,000s. But strangely, then the price went up. Via the listing: "North-facing 8-th floor unit includes deeded storage and prime parking space (lobby level and adjacent to elevator)." The listing was put out at $399,000 on October 16th and then relisted five days later for $407,000. Eh? [Redfin] UPDATE: A commenter points out Elleven has seen other units sell in the $300,000s.

ECHO PARK: It's hard to believe anyone would pay $800,000 to live on Alvarado near Sunset. Perhaps because it's a Craftsman? More about the home: "Period craftsman in burgeoning hip, recently rated top 10 neighborhood, by American Planning Association. Gated entrance. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths up, 1 bedroom, 1.5 baths down. 2 kitchens." [Redfin]
