Love You, “Strangelove”

A film that must be experienced in the theater.

So many films can be rented or caught on cable or whenevs, whatevs, no big deal.

You know the films we're talking about. The films we're talking about know we're talking about them.

Then there is the rare movie, say, a film with an outsized title and an outsized cast and an outsized legend, that should be viewed on a large screen in the company of fellow cineastes.

Yes, cineastes. Or, at the very least, people who like to laugh at the top of their laugh-lungs.

Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" is at the New Beverly Cinema on Wednesday, January 13th and Thursday, January 14th. Don't wait for it to show on television. Go and laugh out the week in a theater.

And if you haven't visited 'em yet, Peter Sellers' hand- and footprints are in the northwest-ish part of the Chinese Theatre courtyard. Have you paid tribute? Peter. Sellers.
