Monster Massive 2008

Senses? They're all pretty much taken care of. Mystery? This world-famous electronica spectacular practically owns the very concept. In a city mad for Halloween, Monster Massive, a massive electronica extravaganza, pretty much rules the holiday-event line-up. That could be, in part, due to the thousands of happy goblins, witches and glitter-covered party people who turn out to shake it 'til dawn (or nearly). It's also got the who's who of the groove and dance scene gathered in one spot for one night.

Billing itself  as "America's Largest Halloween Dance Music Festival," Monster Massive attracts the biggest stars of electronic music: Paul Van Dyk, Felix da Housecat, Judge Jules, Swedish Egil and a bevy of other luminaries representing the aural arts. In case you want to take in as many of the headliners as humanly possible, Monster Massive has conjured up five distinct areas that revelers can roam between: Phantom Chamber, Tomb of Doom, House of Horror, Devils Dungeon and Witches Woods. Costumes are welcome, but check and make sure your fanciful get-up meets the requirements for entry.

Dance it out for nine hours? Apply plenty of glow-in-the-dark glitter to the hair? Pull out those sparkly tights from last year? You know you can and you must.
