Mouthy Dive Bar Gang Kicks Off PaleyFest

If you follow your shows fervently, and adore the small screen, and you live in Los Angeles, then you probably know about PaleyFest, and if you don't, you definitely should consider unhanding your remote for two seconds and getting better acquainted. PaleyFest, an annual, springtime, multi-day to-do put on by The Paley Center for Media, is one of the great reasons to live in this great megalopolis, in our opinion.

In short, the casts and creators of top television series (as well as the occasional vintage classic) are rounded up, handed microphones and small bottles of water and chairs, and then invited to talk about their characters, plot arcs, and the fans before a live audience. It's usually pretty entertaining, and often *very* entertaining.

The '09 festival kicks off on Friday, April 10 with the chortle-producing players of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"; Danny DeVito may get the lion's share of the "Sunny" spotlight, but the young coterie of comedians who hang out at the bar that's central to the show definitely deserve props. Note: PaleyFest is happening at ArcLight Hollywood, not the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. Friday, April 10, 7PM. $45-$60 general public (ticket info available on the Paley Center site). 6360 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles
