NBC4 and Telemundo 52 Launch Project Innovation Grant Challenge

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles in partnership with the NBCUniversal Foundation will launch “Project Innovation,” a new competitive grant challenge that will award up to $225,000 in grants to a maximum of eight non-profit organizations in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura counties that are leveraging technology and innovation to solve everyday challenges.

The grant application is now cloased. Project Innovation grant winners will be announced by the stations in March 2018.

The grants will fund eligible nonprofit organizations with programs in the following three categories:
 
1. Civic Engagement: programs that support volunteering and community engagement, leveraging the use of media and technology.
 
2. Advanced Skills Development: programs that support advanced skills development with a focus on workforce training and promoting technology focused skills opportunities.
 
3. STEM/STEAM Youth Programming: programs that support youth STEM and STEAM education and help advance the next generation of K-12 students with a focus on these in-demand skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).
