From September 15 through October 15, join NBC4 as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout Southern California. The station supports several events and charities within the Latino community – not only during this period, but all year long.
To kick it off, on September 10, NBC4 participated in the 71st Annual Mexican Independence Day Parade in East Los Angeles. Today in LA Anchor Daniella Guzman and Traffic Anchor and Reporter Alysha Del Valle along with Sports Anchor Mario Solis, Today in LA Weekend Anchor Michelle Valles and Meteorologist Anthony Yanez, riding in vintage convertibles on Cesar Chavez Blvd. in East L.A.
During the month-long celebration, NBC4 will also air a special Life Connected story every Sunday during the NBC4 News at 11 p.m., spotlighting Latinos throughout Southern California and special events in the community.
For Hispanic Heritage Month beginning September 15 through October 15, the station also supports several nonprofit organizations that help the Latino community including AltaMed Health Services, Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Salvadoran American Leadership and Education Fund, to name a few.
