NBC4 Meteorologist Shanna Mendiola to Host IDENTITY LA Music Festival on May 6

IDENTITY LA music festival celebrates Los Angeles’ Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and the city’s vibrant Asian Pacific American (APA) community and will take place on May 6 from 5-10 p.m. at Grand Park. NBC4 Meteorologist Shanna Mendiola will host alongside Far East Movement Wong Fu Productions and the event features headline act the South Korean future R&B artist DEAN.   

Presented by the City of Los Angeles, Councilmember David Ryu (CD 4) and International Secret Agents (ISA), IDENTITY LA high-energy music festival is a free and open-to-the-public concert featuring an evening of live performances by internationally renowned APA artists and entertainers, food trucks and more.

Folk Pop group, Us the Duo, and special guest, producer/electronic music artist Giraffage will fill out the closing part of the concert. The rest of the evening will consist of a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and pop artists of Korean, Filipino, Taiwanese, Japanese, South Asian, and Pacific Islander heritage. These performances from fan-favorites, Starro (soulection), Year of the Ox, Kronika (soulection), Doctors&Engineers, and Dj Zo will celebrate APA’s dynamic culture in the heart of Los Angeles.
