NBC4 Southern California will participate in the 20th annual Children's Water Education Festival to help educate students about water and the environment. NBC4 Meteorologist Anthony Yanez will bring the NBC4x4Caster - the station's mobile weather center - to demonstrate its capabilities and the science behind weather reports.
The festival takes place at UC Irvine on March 23-24, providing over 7,000 third, fourth and fifth grade students with hands on education about local water issues centered around science, education, engineering and math.
The festival is provided at no cost to schools and organized by the National Water Research Institute and the Orange County Water District. For more information visit www.childrenwaterfestival.com.
