NBC4 Southern California is proud to announce that beloved Weathercaster Fritz Coleman was presented with the Stan Chambers Award for Extraordinary Achievement Award from the Associated Press Television and Radio Association (APTRA).
Fritz received the prestigious honor on June 11, 2016 for nearly 35 years of excellence in broadcasting at NBC4 and his steadfast dedication to the community. As he has for decades, Fritz continues to devote much of his free time to causes that support individuals and families in-need and serving as master of ceremonies for hundreds of Southern California community events.
NBC4 also received awards for its excellence in journalism in several categories, including an extensive series of stories uncovering the Santa Susana Field Lab in the San Fernando Valley used to test nuclear reactors, dangerously close to neighborhoods and a children’s summer camp.
