Oktoberfest Totally Happening in Tent and Everything

Looks like they got their permits. After worries that this year's festival might be confined to the kitschy complex's restaurant space, Alpine Village in Torrance has the big Oktoberfest tent up and running after all. After a few steins, our Curbed correspondent had this to report on Saturday's festivities: "Limos. Short skirts. Parking facilities maxed out. My fellow revelers were in agreement that this year's fest is twice as grand as last year's. The crater of the recently demolished beergarden sits at the new main entrance, but it's only a sobering sight while you're still... sober. Looks like those illegal demolitions."
