Beverly Connection Wants Bigger, Kitson Owes Americana, Panty Raid Leaving Silver Lake

LOS ANGELES: After a proposed expansion failed last year, it looks like the Beverly Connection may indeed grown. On Tuesday, the City Council's Planning and Land Use Committee approved a revised plan for an expansion of the shopping mall, an addition that'll add 13,000 square feet. Writes Racked: "This new plan calls only for commercial space, including permits for a grocery store, restaurants (several liquor licenses were also approved), and a health/fitness studio (there are rumors it's a yoga studio)."

GLENDALE: Rick Caruso and litigation, it's like peanut butter and jelly. In this case, a lawsuit was settled on Monday between Kitson and Americana at Brand. According to California Apparel News, Kitson owes the shopping center nearly $400,000 in unpaid rent.

SILVER LAKE: Somehow, Panty Raid has maintained the same Silver Lake location on Glendale Boulevard for seven years, but now the lingerie shop is packing up and headed to 1953 Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz. Their new digs open in July. Sounds like they are moving on up. Suggestions for what should go in their old space?
