One Killed in Crash at 105 Freeway Entrance Ramp

Authorities are searching for three other motorists involved in the early morning crash

A man was killed early Monday in a two-car crash  at the Garfield Avenue on-ramp to the 105 Freeway,  authorities said.

The man was trapped in his vehicle when firefighters  arrived after the crash at 2:33 a.m., said Supervising Dispatcher Ed Pickett. It took firefighters one half hour to get the man out of the  vehicle, Pickett said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said they are searching for three other people involved in the crash, which involved a minivan and Chrysler 300. Search dogs were brought to the location.

Authorities withheld the name of the dead man, in his 30s, pending  notification of his relatives, said Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner's  office.
