Terribly old information, but here's the backstory (and it was previously mentioned on the site) about the possible sale/conversion to condos or apartments of Echo Park's Barlow Hospital from the Los Angeles Conservancy's web site. As the site notes, the hospital is considering selling because it can't raise the funds to build both a new facility and update its existing facility to meet seismic requirements. Also, a commenter referenced Orsini developer Geoff Palmer on the last post. Does Palmer really wants to buy this property and extend Little Italy to Dodgertown?
