While there were a steady flow of people mingling in the boutique, the party was really outside in the parking lot at HLNR's grand opening party, where the music was playing loud and the massive robots held court behind the bar. A boutique created by the people at H. Lorenzo, this shop was built with the environment in mind—recycled materials (including a Buddha and bike made from scissors), solar panels, Dyson dryer in the bathroom—and stocks high-end designers from Balmain and Comme des Garcons to Preen and Raf Simons.
Though we did notice there was a whole lot of packaging for one tiny truffle they gave out as a parting gift: box, ribbon, stuffing, pamphlet, little bag. The truffle was a little drop of heaven however. And we appreciated the care people took to get dressed that night—save Brody Jenner in a baseball tee and jeans—as it made it all the more entertaining.
