Driver Sought in Fatal Pasadena Hit-and-Run Crash

The woman was struck on Fair Oaks Avenue just north of Claremont Street

Police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a woman as she crossed a street Sunday night in Pasadena.

The crash was reported at about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Fair Oaks Avenue just north of Claremont Street, Pasadena police Lt. Max Dahlstein told City News Service.

The 27-year-old victim, who lived nearby, died at the scene, Dahlstein said. Her name was withheld pending family notification.

The woman was crossing the street when she was hit and there was no crosswalk at the location, Dahlstein said.

The driver continued down Fair Oaks Avenue after the crash. Dahlstein said the only description so far is that it was a white vehicle.

The crash shut down Fair Oaks Avenue from Claremont Street to Washington Boulevard. It was reopened just before 1 a.m. Monday.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run driver was urged to call Pasadena police at 626-744-4241.
