LAKE STAY: The "largest privately man-made lake in the country" is..? Have a guess? Well. From the headline above you can probably guess Las Vegas, and if you're thinking mondo body of water in the desert, you're likely thinking there's a swanky property sitting on its shores, in grand Vegas-style. That property, as of Friday, Feb. 11, is Ravella at Lake Las Vegas, and it is now occupying the former Ritz-Carlton spot.
349: That's the number of suites and rooms at Ravella. And while the resort has several resorty touches, like a spa and golf, the lakey aspects include kayaking and canoes. Something about sinking an oar into the waves 17 miles off-Strip pleases. Oh, and gondolas, too, natch.
