San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission Rebuilding After Fire

It has been six months since a devastating fire destroyed the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, an organization dedicated to providing services to homeless families. The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission held an event at the Valley Presbyterian Hospital to provide supporters with updates on its progress to rebuild the Mission.

Wade Trimmer, the director of the organization, shared the 90-bed shelter, referred to as “Home Again” will offer hope, shelter and safe, supportive housing to thousands of homeless families. The new facility is expected to open its doors in April 2015.

Several LA City Councilmembers delivered remarks including Mitchell Englander, Paul Krekorian and Felipe Fuentes.
