NBC4 Clear the Shelters partner, San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, is celebrating its 95th year of connecting people and pets on Saturday, October 5th from 10 am – 4 pm at their historic facility located at 851 East Grand Avenue in San Gabriel.
The event kicks off with the Blessing of the Animals and Poker “Dog Pack” Walk (registration required). More activities later include games and activities for dogs and kids including an 'agility scramble;' artist booth and artwork from various artists; dog paw print "Pawtrait" art creations; photo booth; DJ and musical selections from local students, and more.
There will also be food trucks, craft beer and a wine garden along with a visit from the San Gabriel Police Department K-9 Unit.
Finally, and most importantly, are the many animals available for adoption at the facility.
