Vintage slides will forever hold us in their kitschy, soda-colored thrall.
Slap some 3D multi-dimensionalness on top of them, add sassy commentary from LA's historian-about-town Charles Phoenix, and organ music to boot, and you have a day out that rivals a trip on any carousel.
Clearly there were people already in on this secret, because the two 3D slide shows presented by Mr. Phoenix a few weeks back were mighty popular. But, oh happy day: two more dates have been added, and tickets will not last.
June 27 and July 11 are the dates, the time will be 3 p.m., the location is once more the Downtown Independent, and the host is inviting us to all wear red and turquoise, the better to look like the glasses that will be provided for us.
