Life under the sea may be getting better for Ariel, thanks to contributions from Disney.

The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that for every moviegoer who sees Disneynature's "Oceans" during its opening week in April, a contribution will be made to a conservation organization to save coral reefs.

Disneynature, the studio that presented the 2007 documentary "Earth," is bringing "Oceans" to the big screen on April 22 to coincide with Earth Day.

Under the "See OCEANS, Save Oceans" initiative developed by the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund with The Nature Conservancy, a portion of each ticket sold for the film's April 22-28 opening week will help establish new marine protected areas in the Bahamas, according to studio officials.

"Our hope is that this unique collaboration and this important film will educate an audience of millions about how to protect our oceans for generations to come," said Mark Tercek, the Conservancy's president and chief executive officer.
