1) Andre Benjamin: This week, Benjamin—aka, Andre 3000—launched his Benjamin Bixby men's collection at Barneys. Per the NYT, the line "includes tweed plus fours and club sweaters with leather elbow patches. The collection was inspired by Ivy League athletics of the 1930s. It looked like Ralph Lauren having a Steampunk moment...His collection is so unexpectedly nostalgic as to seem designed for another era. Or another world. " It's decidedly upscale with items such as a "$995 cotton corduroy blazer, a $350 felted waistcoat and a $95 newsboy cap." [NYT]

2) Molly Sims: The actress and former model is launching a lingerie line, aiming for a spring 2010 release, with financial backing from Concepts. Sims told People's Off the Rack blog: “I want it be what you wear, not what you wish you could wear...it’s what you wear every day, just a little more beautiful. It’s going to be feminine. It’s like undone-done, so it’s like a reveal-conceal.” [Off the Rack/People]

3) Usher: Also on the lingerie front, the pop R&B star will be designing underthings for men and women. From WWD via The Cut, we learn that some of the pieces are in his "Trading Places" video. [WWD via The Cut]

5) Rihanna: Regarding a potential collection, the singer told WWD: "“I can’t say when it will be released, but it’s definitely going to happen.Blackbook speculates about the possibilities: "considering her signature style, it’s safe to assume there will be lots of black, curve-flattering cuts, and a fair share of hardware. Whatever the line entails, a ton of Rihanna superfans will be eagerly awaiting its arrival. " [WWD, subscription req; Blackbook]

6) Matthew McConaughey: The often shirtless star has launched an online store for his JK Livin collection. Per Off the Rack, "Jklivingstore.com has apparel for men and women, including sweatshirts and T-shirts, as well as accessories, infant onesies and even frisbees and wristbands! In the next few weeks, expect to see more T-shirt designs and sweatbands with music downloads, gift cards, foundation donations and more to roll out in the future."
