LOS ANGELES -- Federal authorities nabbed two suspected stowaways aboard a Los Angeles-bound containership, it was reported Monday.
A multi-agency team on a Coast Guard cutter intercepted the containership Zenit at 6:30 a.m. Sunday and took a pair of Nigerian nationals into custody.
The stowaways had been discovered during an earlier port call, after which the authorities were notified.
