The world's first cupcake ATM certainly made all sorts of headlines when it debuted at Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills a few months ago.
But there's been a not-too-unexpected twist to ATM's short, thus far, life: photos, and lots of 'em. People want to show off to their nearest and furthest that they've been to the colorful, frosting-laden machine, meaning that all sorts of Instagraming has been going down in the more visited corners of the internet.
Sprinkles sees that and raises you a cupcake. Actually, five dozen cupcakes, to be exact. The cupcakery chain is inviting sweet buffs to post photos of themselves taken in front of the famous ATM for a chance to win a gift card worth 60 cupcakes.
Sixty cupcakes. It's a beautiful world when we can type "sixty" and "cupcakes" together.
Deadline is May 31, you'll need to post the photo to the Cupcake ATM Facebook page (or email it), and there are rules. So know them. And be inspired by this dance-tastic, hair-twirly photo snapped by Oh Joy Blog. Is this how you feel when you're clutching a fresh baked good in one hand? Best show the world you feel that way.
And definitely be creative. Think of your photo as cupcake-cool performance art that happens to be ATM-adjacent. It's true that ATMs are famed for taking pictures; now we get to turn the camera on one of 'em.
