Today in Restaurant Week: The Lobster

Restaurant Week, we raise our napkins high in the air and wave them overhead in salute to you (okay, we know, we're causing a ruckus, so we'll put them back politely in our laps). It's a grand concept, grouping together a whole mess of marvelous eateries, lowering prices in various ways for a set period of time on a set number of things with a noble goal: getting more people to get to know these great places. Many are Los Angeles tried-and-true staples, some are newer, and all depend on patrons who love their dishes and decor and want to return again and again.

The tasty to-do started on Sunday, January 25, and will run through Friday, February 6 (skipping Saturday, January 31). What else should you know about Restaurant Week?  There are specially priced meals for both lunch and dinner; look for three courses which can be selected from a special menu.  All good stuff.

The prices are listed here, as are the restaurants joining in (it is a long, long list, so set aside some time to peruse). Rather than try and group 'em all together in one big delicious batch, we thought we'd called out a couple over the duration of Restaurant Week. Today: The Lobster.

For one, lobster. Right? For two-four, it's airy, it's tasty, it's seafood heaven just steps from the sand and delightful tourist watching. The waitstaff is sweet, efficient and always knowledgeable. The flavors, always bright and light.

Can we have more melty butter please? And another bib will do. Thanks...
