29-Year-Old Woman Identified in Torrance Apparent Murder-Suicide

Authorities Friday identified a woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Torrance.

Officers sent to an apartment in the 20700 block of Anza Avenue to do a welfare check on Tuesday afternoon found the bodies of a woman and man, according to Torrance Police Sgt. Ronald Harris.

The woman, whose death was reported as a homicide, was identified as Mimi Dola, 29, who lived at the apartment with the man, the coroner's office reported.

Authorities withheld the name of the man, who was in his 40s, pending notification of his relatives. His death was reported as a suicide, according to the coroner's office.

Their relationship to one another was not disclosed. Autopsies were pending to determine their cause of death.
