UCLA Hosts “Onion” Writers, Irony

Win free tickets to see "The Onion" at UCLA

The only thing better than spending time with the editors of "The Onion" is spending time with the editors of "The Onion" for free.

LAist is giving away four pairs of tickets to the UCLA Live event "Inside The Onion" scheduled for Feb. 10.

The satirists will host "a multimedia discussion on the state of media, politics and pop culture as they offer up insight into how the paper's culture-skewering stories and hilarious headlines are created."

According to the LAist contest rules, entrants must post an Onion-style headline here. Don't worry though if your satire chops are rusty -- the winners will be picked at random.

If you turn out to be one of the unlucky ones, stay calm. Tickets are still available, ranging from $15 for UCLA students to $48 -- a small price to pay for Angelenos to get a live dose of "The Onion." LA just hasn't been the same since the print edition left town back in 2009.

Editorial Note: Clifford Banes has the night off.
