BOCONCEPT: Not to put too fine a point on it, but modern furniture is always inching ahead, right? To stay modern it has to be, well, modern. So the early-March re-opening of the BoConcept in Santa Monica is plenty modern indeed. The furniture store has new owners, new designers, new pieces, new new new. This multi-plane coffee table kind of has us agog. Can a living room item be so mathematical? NEED TO KNOW: The shop is at 328 Santa Monica Boulevard; look for tables, sofas, and other au courant around-the-house pieces.
