What You're Doing Tonight: Feb. 3

"PIPPIN": It's getting near the centerpoint of its acclaimed run, so theater fans interested in seeing this marvelous musical extravaganza presented by Deaf West Theatre should not delay in securing tickets. An added bonus for people already weeping over "Wicked" having so recently flown: the composer of this production had a hand in that witchy wonder. Through March 15. Mark Taper Forum, 135 N. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles.

SKA IS DEAD 4: We don't want to believe ska is really dead, but if the "4" following the name of this lively mega-tour is any sign, it most certainly is dancing on. The skasters include the Voodoo Glow Skulls and The Toasters plus a host of other hot outfits. Ska is Dead also hosted "Skanksgiving" last year, which makes us wonder if they do up the cranberry and the rolls and the works. Probably? Tuesday, February 3. House of Blues Anaheim, 1530 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim. 714-778-2583

DAVID DENBY TALKS "SNARK": Is snark-a-tude, which is kind of a way of life in many online corners, going the way of the dodo, or rather, should we say, Web 1.0? David Denby of The New Yorker hopes so. His interesting, post-provoking take on the hotbed of snide chitchattery is making headlines. Find out more as the film critic sits down with Patt Morrison of KPCC for an evening. Tuesday, February 3, 7:30PM. ICM Screening Room, 10250 Constellation Boulevard, Century City.
