What You're Doing Tonight: Feb. 23

KRISTIN CHENOWETH: About once a week we have a hope that "Pushing Daisies" may return, and with it, Kristin Chenoweth, who brought a lot of pop and fizz to a show practically flooded with pop and fizz. She also brought pertness. Did we mention the pertness? Okay, now we have. And we're sure that the Broadway superstar live is a dazzler -- she did, after all, originate the role of "Glinda" in "Wicked" -- and that it is a benefit for the Reprise Theatre Company makes it all the more festive. Monday, February 23. Freud Playhouse at Macgowan Hall, UCLA Campus, Westwood.

TINY VAUDEVILLE: If you like a veritable entertainment onslaught -- and we pose it that way because some personages do require more entertainment than others, and we would be among those personages -- it's Tiny Vaudeville night at 826LA, the tutoring center founded by McSweeney's own Dave Eggers. There's music from Maria Taylor, comedy from Laraine Newman and other bright stars like Samm Levine (the "Freaks & Geeks" Samm Levine?!) and a host of other talents. There's also something exceedingly intriguing called "Musical Cutlery" which would, alone, get us there. Monday, February 23, 8PM. $12. 1154 Glendale Boulevard, Glendale.
