Where Be the Skyscrapers?

Blogdowntown covered Central City Association's 11th Annual Housing Forum, and judging from remarks made by Alan Mark of The Mark Company, a sales and marketing company, downtown's future is looking more squat than skyscrapery (at least in the short term). "Multiple speakers told of the lack of available financing for any new projects to break ground. When the capital does return, Mark believes it will be for 3-4 story wood-frame buildings and not high-rises." This outlook follows previous speculation from other development experts that the next wave of investment will be in apartments, affordable housing and hotels. High-rise? [Blogdowntown]
