Why Pasadena's Neomeze Might Finally Be Worthy: Brook Williamson and Nick Roberts

PASADENA: The folks behind Neomeze in Old Town are once again tweaking things, but it just got a little more interesting (at least for those Dena people who don't always want to trek to Venice): Chefs Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts consulted on a new more bar-friendly menu. Think: steamed mussels in lemongrass broth; sliders with bacon, arugula and caramelized onions; tilapia tacos; and those fries we know and love from Beechwood (where Williams is still the chef) among other gastropubby items (see here. One of the partners used to work with Williams, which is how they got involved, and although she and Roberts aren't on-site daily, she says they're checking in regularly. Now about that other project they're working on, Hudson Bistro in Manhattan Beach: Construction should begin any day now, and they hope to open by the end of the year.
