PROHIBITION-ERA NEW YEAR'S: That little stretchy sequined headband, the one that goes across your forehead? The one with the giant purple feather? You'll need that. You'll also need a drop-waist frock with some fringe, or maybe a suit with some sweet spat shoes. You'll also need a love of the murder mystery party game, a taste for bubbly, and the desire to see the next year in, in style, in Costa Mesa. If you've got all of those things -- but *especially* the stretchy headband, we say -- be at the Wyndham OC for the hotel's "Prohibition-Era New Year's Eve Party." The feel is 1920s, the game is comedy whodunit, there are party favors, there's a four-course dinner, there will be gratis champagne at the very latest hour of Dec. 31 (or rather, the very earliest minute of Jan. 1). Details, if you dare.
