A 6-year-old girl, who was critically wounded Friday night after being caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting at a gas station in South Los Angeles, was in stable condition Saturday and believed to be improving per the Los Angeles Police Department.
The gunfire was reported about 8:15 p.m. in the area of Figueroa Street and Gage Avenue, according to Officer Drake Madison of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.
The girl was taken to a hospital and was undergoing surgery, Madison said. Police were looking for two male suspects who fled in a silver four-door car, Madison said.
