Two people in separate vehicles were shot Tuesday on the 210 Freeway in Rialto, police said.
The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of shots fired on the freeway between Riverside and Alder avenues around 6:30 p.m., authorities said. The first driver was shot on the westbound 210 Freeway.
The second driver was shot while driving eastbound on the 210 Freeway 15 minutes later. After passing Ayala Drive, the driver came under fire, according to the Rialto Police Department.
Both drivers pulled over and called 911.

The two drivers were taken to nearby hospitals and were expected to survive. One driver was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the arm.
Police are not completely sure if the shootings were random or targeted, but they believe they're looking for only one suspect in both shootings.
The shooter was seen driving a late model gray Chevy sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol. A detailed suspect description was not immediately available.
