1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured After Crash Involving Tanker, Sedan in Anaheim

A woman was killed and two other people were critically injured after a crash involving a tanker in Anaheim early Saturday morning, police said.

The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. near the inersection of Dale Street and Lincoln Avenue, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Three people were trapped in a Honda sedan and had to be extricated from the vehicle, police said.

A 25-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and two men were transported to a hospital in critical condition. The two men were declared brain dead, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Preliminary reports indicated the Honda was traveling westbound on Lincoln Avenue and ran a red light. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle, but it was not known if that was a factor in the collision, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
