Lanes were blocked on the westbound 134 Freeway right before the evening commute after a forklift fell off a big rig.
The incident occurred at 4:35 p.m. near Hollywood Way.
The carpool and the number one lanes were open, but Caltrans said to expect "major delays."
Traffic was still jammed from the 5 Freeway at 7:10 p.m.
The 134 East was also seeing the effects of the crash initially, but appeared to be clearing up around 7:30 p.m.
At least two lanes were still blocked five hours after the spill.
At 10 p.m., Caltrans said all lanes were open.
