The search continued Saturday for a man who shot and killed a teen girl waiting at a hamburger stand the previous night.
The 15-year-old girl was shot to death around 9 p.m. Friday in the area of 78th Street and Western Avenue in South Los Angeles. The teenager was waiting for a food order with her mother before she was struck in the torso.
The girl was taken to a hospital, where she later died. She was identified Sunday as 15-year-old Hannah Bell.
The shooter was described only as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen running southbound on Western Avenue.
Police said they did not have a motive for the killing.
"At this point we can't see any reason whatsoever," Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Phillip Tingirides said.
A vigil for the girl was scheduled by Project Islamic Hope activist Najee Ali for 5 p.m. Sunday, at the shooting scene.
