Whittier police are searching for a 16-year-old suspected of stabbing a man during an assault involving several people Saturday night.
The stabbing victim was in stable condition at a local hospital Sunday, where police were trying to get more information from him about the assault, according to a Whittier Police Department spokesman.
The 16-year-old was the main attacker among several men or boys named in the assault, which occurred at about 11 p.m. in the 8000 block of Washington Boulevard, police said. He fled the scene, police said.
It's likely the attacker and the victim know each other, police said.
