A power outage in the San Bernardino area Monday affected nearly 20,000 Southern California Edison customers, officials said.
The outage was reported about 2:15 p.m. after a fire at a substation in San Bernardino, utility officials said.
The power went out for about 16,000 customers in the city of San Bernardino, while more than 3,200 were without power in Highland.
By 3.49 a.m. Tuesday, power was restored to all but 10 customers, officials said. Power is expected to be restored to all by 7 a.m.
Police urged motorists to drive through intersections with caution.
Fire crews responded to the scene of the fire, officials said. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The source of the blaze was under investigation.
