Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary after allegedly attempting to steal several bottles of cologne and perfumes from an Alhambra business early Saturday morning, police said.
Officers responded to an alarm call at 5:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Westminster Avenue, according to the Alhambra Police Department.
When officers arrived, they spotted a van backing out in the driveway. The driver allegedly fled and led officers on a short pursuit before crashing on Mission Road, west of Stockbridge Avenue, police said.
One of the men fled on foot and was taken into custody. Another man was removed from the van, according to police.
The van appeared to be filled with colognes and perfumes, police said. The business also had a smashed window.
The suspects were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and evading arrest.
