BLYTHE, Calif. -- Two inmates were reported missing Thursday from Chuckawalla Valley State Prison.
Steven Gumpert, 36, and John Nolan, 29, went missing around 9:40 a.m. from a minimum-security area of the prison in Blythe, said Chuckawalla Valley Lt. Debbie Asuncion.
Gumpert was serving a two-year sentence for vehicle theft, with a scheduled release date of May 2009, she said.
Nolan was serving a four-year sentence for burglary, and was up for parole in May 2010, according to Asuncion.
