Pedestrian Killed on 210 Freeway in Crash

A pedestrian was killed Monday on the Foothill 210 Freeway in Pasadena, authorities said.

The death was reported at 1 a.m. on the westbound Foothill Freeway at Fair Oaks Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt told City News Service.

Reports from the scene indicated the pedestrian was a male who was struck multiple times, Brandt said.

A SigAlert was issued shutting down all westbound lanes at Fair Oaks Avenue and all westbound traffic was diverted off the freeway at Marengo Avenue, he said. The far right lanes were reopened at 5:23 a.m.
