People heading to Los Angeles International Airport during late-night or early morning hours this week will encounter some ramp closures on the San Diego (405) Freeway, with overnight construction work scheduled to begin Monday.

The closures will be done nightly Monday through Thursday, beginning at 10 p.m. each night and continuing until 6 a.m., according to Caltrans.

On the northbound 405, offramps will be closed at Century Boulevard; La Cienega/Manchester boulevards; and Jefferson Road. On the southbound side, offramps will be closed at Jefferson, Howard Hughes Parkway and La Tijera Boulevard.

The overall construction project, scheduled to end this spring, includes various upgrades, such as roadside pavement installation, vegetation control and irrigation system improvements.
