At least two people were injured Monday afternoon in a crash that involved a big rig and five other vehicles on a San Fernando Valley freeway.
Northbound 5 Freeway lanes were closed south of the 210 Freeway in Sylmar for the emergency response and crash investigation. Two people were hospitalized, but details regarding the victims' conditions were not immediately available.
All lanes were closed immediately after the midday crash, but one lane reopened at about 1:30 p.m. Lane closures are expected to continue until about 2 p.m.
