A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in the Inland Empire on New Year's Eve, officials said.
Paramedics found a woman dead of a gunshot to the head on Wednesday, Dec. 31, in a Phelan bedroom, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
After an investigation into her death, Sheriff's investigators found that Kenneth Ray Davis, 57, shot the woman in the home, in the 4500 block of Jackson Lane, deputies said.
Davis was arrested Wednesday and booked into High Desert Detention Center on a murder charge, deputies said.
