Alcohol and speed were factors in a violent rollover crash that killed a teen passenger in Bellflower early Saturday, officials said.
Authorities responded around 2 a.m. to a wreck on Rosecrans Avenue at Lakewood Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver, 22-year-old Eddie Solis who is the dead teen’s brother, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a curb and a wrought iron fence, sheriff's officials said. The impact caused the vehicle to flip into a tree.
Solis was arrested Saturday on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, sheriff's officials told NBC4. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Alcohol was a factor in the incident, as well as the car's high rate of speed, according to LA Sheriff's Department's Lakewood Station officials.
The teen who died was sitting in a rear seat before the crash, officials said. Some reports suggested the teenager who died was 18 years old, but sheriff's officials and the teen's uncle said he is 17. An official age will be given when the coroner's office officially identifies the body.
