Autistic 21-Year-Old Man Reported Missing After LA Marathon Has Been Found

'It is imperative that we find him soon.'

A man reported missing after finishing Sunday's stadium-to-the-sea Los Angeles Marathon has been found.

Family and friends desperately searched Monday to find the autistic man who went missing after finishing the marathon in Santa Monica. Romario Snow, 21, was last seen on Sunday near Ocean Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, the Santa Monica Police Department reported.

He was found by officers, police said early Tuesday. Details about the case were not immediately available.

Police circulated a photo of Snow, described as 5-feet-8 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Loved ones were especially worried because the marathon ended near the ocean.

"It's so close to the water. This is a huge issue with individuals on the autism spectrum," said Shannon Penrod, a family friend. "The No. 1 cause of death for individuals on the autism spectrum is drowning. It is imperative that we find him soon."

In 2014, Snow wandered off from his family, but was found 28 days later.
