Three men reported missing after they went hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains were found early Monday during an overnight search.
A sheriff's helicopter joined the search after sunrise Monday for the men, who failed to meet up with relatives after a hike in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Azusa, authorities said. The men were hiking Sunday off San Gabriel Canyon Road (39) in the Angeles National Forest and arranged a meeting point for family at 7:30 p.m., said Sgt. Lyndon Dancel of the San Dimas Sheriff's Station.
The relatives arrived at the meeting point and waited but didn't hear from the hikers, Dancel said.
A search and rescue team began searching for the hikers in the darkness at about 1:20 a.m. Monday. They were found later Monday morning.
No injuries were reported.
