A man was arrested after barricading himself in a Beverly Hills home for nearly an hour Tuesday afternoon.

Officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department arrived at a home in the 100 block of S. Clark Drive around 1:45 p.m. to serve a protective order related to a prior domestic violence situation, said Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, a spokesman for the department.

The man allegedly saw the police coming and ran back into the house and refused to come out for about an hour. Two children were in the home with him at the time.

Before 3 p.m., the man, whose name was not immediately released, surrendered to police.
