A bicyclist was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Ventura, police said.
Officers responded to a reported hit-and-run crash just after midnight near Telegraph Road and Saticoy Avenue, where they found a bicyclist lying in the road, according to the Ventura Police Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the vehicle that hit the bicyclist fled the scene after the collision.
The suspected hit-and-run vehicle was described as a white, Nissan sedan, according to the Ventura Police Department.
The gender of the victim was unknown.
